This could be interesting –
Cate Blanchett is reportedly set to executive produce and star in the
HBO's upcoming film
Cancer Vixen. Just in case this already sounds familiar, let us right here at the beginning inform you that the movie will be an adaptation of Marisa Acocella Marchetto‘s graphic novel memoir “Cancer Vixen: A True Story”, which will tell us the story of a young woman battling breast cancer.
So, at this moment we know that
Julie Delpy (who co-wrote and starred in “Before Midnight”) is on board to pen the script, which will follow a cartoonist planning her wedding when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
In other words, the Academy award winning-actress Blanchett will play Acocella, a cartoonist for magazines like the New Yorker and Glamour that was about to get married when she was suddenly diagnosed with breast cancer, sending her life into a maelstrom.
As we said, Blanchett will also executive produce the project while Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray from Maven Pictures will executive produce the whole thing.
Sounds promising, we'll keep an eye on Cancer Vixen.
