This movie is expected to come to screens on July 12th, 2024, and after watching this, one is bound to feel emotionally moved and, of course, with the catchy sounds.
“Dandelion,” the debut feature from Nicole Riegel, who had a previous short, “Holler” has been generating buzz since its SXSW Film Festival appearance in 2024. The main characters in the film are Dandelion a talented singer-songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio which is played by KiKi Layne. Layne, who has gained tremendous fame after starring in the ‘Beale Street’ movie, plays a singer who is on the verge of leaving her passion behind.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire, Dandelion decides to take her final shot at redemption by performing at a motorcycle rally in South Dakota. There, she gets to meet Casey portrayed by Thomas Doherty. Casey is a man who once was a guitarist but gave up on dreams to be a musician long ago, however, their passion for music relite and makes them chase dreams on the island and grows into a wonderful love story. This dynamic mirrors a journey of return at a personal and artistic level, with the musical connection of the pair being at the core of this process.
Other actors also fit their roles well; Melanie Nichols-King plays Jean, which creates an interesting layer in the show. As for the music, the album with Bryce and Aaron Dessner, who is the co-founder of The National, consists of quite diverse genuine songs that reverberate the film badly.
Directed by Rian Cahill, Adam Cobb, Pete McClellan, and Nicole Riegel, himself, “Dandelion” will be hitting the theaters for a limited time, starting with a number of theaters in selected U. S. states from the 12th of July in the year 2024. : It is also to feature in the Athens, Cleveland, and Boston Film Festivals.
