Netflix has once again teamed up with visionary creator Rapman to bring us ‘Supacell,’ a fresh and exciting superhero drama set to premiere on June 27th. The official trailer has just dropped, showcasing an all-Black South London cast, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation.
‘Supacell’ revolves around five ordinary people who suddenly develop superpowers. These individuals have little in common except for one crucial detail: they are all Black South Londoners. The story centers on Michael Lasaki, played by Tosin Cole (known for his roles in ‘61st Street,’ ‘Till,’ and ‘Ear for Eye’), who must unite this unlikely group to save the woman he loves.
One of the most exciting revelations from the trailer is the casting of MOBO award-winning rapper and songwriter Ghetts, who takes on the role of Krazy. This marks a significant step for Ghetts as he transitions from music to acting, adding another layer of depth to an already stellar cast.
