Netflix has once again teamed up with visionary creator Rapman to bring us ‘Supacell,' a fresh and exciting superhero drama set to premiere on June 27th. The official trailer has just dropped, showcasing an all-Black South London cast, and fans are already buzzing with anticipation.

‘Supacell' revolves around five ordinary people who suddenly develop superpowers. These individuals have little in common except for one crucial detail: they are all Black South Londoners. The story centers on Michael Lasaki, played by Tosin Cole (known for his roles in ‘61st Street,' ‘Till,' and ‘Ear for Eye'), who must unite this unlikely group to save the woman he loves.

One of the most exciting revelations from the trailer is the casting of MOBO award-winning rapper and songwriter Ghetts, who takes on the role of Krazy. This marks a significant step for Ghetts as he transitions from music to acting, adding another layer of depth to an already stellar cast.

The series boasts an impressive ensemble. Nadine Mills (‘Sliced' and ‘The Weekend') stars as Sabrina, Eric Kofi Abrefa (‘Blue Story,' ‘BMF') as Andre, Calvin Demba (‘The Rig,' ‘Life,' ‘Micky and the Bear') as Rodney, Josh Tedeku (‘Moonhaven,' ‘A Town Called Malice') as Tazer, Adelayo Adedayo (‘The Responder,' ‘Timewasters') as Dionne, Rayxia Ojo (‘Harry Potter and The Cursed Child – West End Production,' ‘Call The Midwife') as Sharleen, Giacomo Mancini (‘Top Boy,' ‘Orthodox') as Spud, and Eddie Marsan (‘Ray Donovan,' ‘Deadpool 2') as Ray.

Created, directed, and show-run by Rapman, with Sebastian Thiel also directing, ‘Supacell' promises a unique and gripping narrative. Rapman, known for his ability to weave compelling stories within the fabric of Black British culture, aims to deliver a series that not only entertains but also resonates with viewers on a deeper level.

As we count down the days to the release, ‘Supacell' is poised to be a must-watch. It's not just another superhero series; it's a celebration of culture, community, and the extraordinary potential within all of us. Don't miss out on this groundbreaking show when it hits Netflix on June 27th!
