Danny Trejo is in discussions to take a lead role in an indie biker-thriller
Tarantula, movie that will be directed by
The Fantastic Four helmer
Oley Sassone.
On the other hand,
Spartacus: Blood and Sand star, lovely
Erin Cummings, is also in talks to join the project that will follow:
“…a woman (Cummings) who breaks away from a tight-knit biker gang to start a new life but finds that escape is not so easy.
Trejo plays the self-styled leader of the gang looking for the woman as well as revenge for his brother's death.”
The budget of Tarantula is quite low, around $2.5m, and the script is being written by John Kersey.
Trejo is reportedly working with
Robert Rodriguez on
Machete sequel and prequel and we definitely expect to hear more information about the whole thing as soon as possible.
Tarantula will shoot in Detroit and John Kersey, who has two decades worth of industry experience as construction coordinator on shows such as “CSI: Miami” and “Providence,” wrote the script and is producing with his wife Jennifer through their Two of a Kind Productions.
