DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES Brief Teaser

Andy-Serkis-in-Dawn-of-the-Planet-of-the-Apes Well, someone needs to speak to Caesar in this 13-second video to remind you that the trailer for Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will debut on Wednesday, and that Caesar (Andy Serkis) is still the ape in charge. The story for the Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel is much darker than prequel, and it certainly offers the opportunity to bring a little terror to the world of apes, along with Judy Greer who portrays Caesar’s love interest, and the likes of Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Keri Russell who are added to replace the human cast in the first film. The fact that Malcolm (Clarke) who will be the male human lead of the film (hence replacing Will Rodman) is demanding to speak to Caesar is noteworthy since it heavily indicates that Caesar’s vocabulary has been enlarged and enriched from simple words into fluent English. It is also likely that Malcolm’s first interaction with Caesar will be in the forest as Clarke has said that Malcolm and Keri Russell’s character as well as Caesar bump into each other in the forest. Penned by Scott Z. Burns, Amanda Silver, Rick Jaffa, and Mark Bomback, Twentieth Century Fox recently moved up the sequel film’s release date from July 18th, 2014 to July 11th. For now, hear a special audio tease, which is basically the extent of the footage we saw at Comic-Con last summer and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for the trailer! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9COWATqTp0
