At the end of 2018's “Deadpool 2,” Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, utilized Cable's time machine to rewrite history. He saved Vanessa, killed the weaponized version of himself from “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” and hilariously prevented Ryan Reynolds from starring in “Green Lantern.” Fast forward to the latest blockbuster, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” and fans are left wondering: where did Cable's time machine go?

In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Wade Wilson teams up with Logan in a new escapade filled with action, humor, and unexpected twists. Despite many fans speculating that Cable's time travel device would play a crucial role, it turns out to be a no-show. Instead, we learn that Deadpool destroyed the device soon after the events of “Deadpool 2.” According to Wade, he annihilated the machine following his rejected attempt to join Earth-616's Avengers. Without this crucial tool, how did he manage to traverse dimensions?

Enter the Time Variance Authority (TVA). After destroying Cable's device, Deadpool finds himself yanked out of his reality by the TVA. They are not amused by his timeline tampering, yet Wade quickly gains access to a TemPad, ensuring he can continue his cross-dimensional antics. This new device hints at future MCU adventures for the Merc with a Mouth.

But what about Cable? Josh Brolin, who played the time-traveling mercenary in “Deadpool 2,” does not reprise his role in this latest installment. Deadpool humorously explains Cable's absence by mentioning poor test screenings. In reality, the film's creators likely decided to streamline the character roster to avoid overcrowding.

Despite his absence, there are no hard feelings from Brolin. He has fond memories of playing Cable, describing it as a fun role amidst the complex web of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” not only offers a fresh dynamic between the titular characters but also teases future possibilities within the MCU. With its mix of humor, action, and heartfelt moments, it's a must-watch for Marvel fans. Don't miss the chance to see how the film plays with timelines and characters in a uniquely Deadpool fashion.

So, grab your popcorn, sit back, and enjoy the ride—because with Deadpool, you never know what's coming next.
