Breaking Bad star
Dean Norris is all of the sudden on board for
Ridley Scott‘s upcoming project titled
The Counselor. Say what you want, but this guy will definitely have some great company, because so far this movie also stars
Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and
Cameron Diaz.
So, as you already know, The Counselor is the story written by Cormac McCarthy and centers on an attorney who attempts to get into the drug business. Fassbender will play that attorney, while Cruz is on board to play his girlfriend, character named Laura.
On the other hand, we have Bardem as criminal Reiner who has an interesting business proposition for Fassbender's character: they'll take $20 million worth of cocaine from south of the border and offload it themselves, aided by Westray, played by Pitt. Diaz, quite logically, stars as character named Malkina, who hooks up with Reiner.
As for Norris' role – fortunately or unfortunately – still no details.
At this moment The Counselor sounds like a pretty cool story with some seriously good cast, so we'll definitely keep an eye on it.
The production should start this fall, so let's hope some new update will arrive soon.
