Dennis Haysbert is our new Manute in the upcoming Sin City: A Dame To Kill For! Haysbert will replace Michael Clarke Duncan who died this September. I'm sure you'll all agree that The Unit star is a very good choice for the the comic book sequel which (once again) comes from Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, right? So, Miller and Rodriguez are bringing us an adaptation of Miller's second book A Dame to Kill For, an earlier story of Dwight McCarthy, whose life is turned upside down when Ava, a woman from his past returns, saying she loves him and causing all sorts of problems for him.
Yeah, this already sounds like a big mess!
Beside Haysbert, who will play Manute aka the brutal and seemingly unstoppable right-hand man of Ava's husband, the movie will also star Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King and Jamie Chung.
It was another dark night in Basin City when lovers Dwight and Ava Lord were reunited. But in Sin City, a reunion is never good news. And Ava has plans for Dwight… It's one of those hot nights, dry and windless. The kind that makes people do sweaty, secret things.
