Williams and Heitor Pereira composed the original music for the film which revolves around Gru and his friends (read: minions, Lucy, Dr. Nefario and his adopted daughters) who must save the world from a brand new villain called Eduardo aka El Macho.
Directed by Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin, Despicable Me 2 is set to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2013, and as you already know, the movie features the voices of Steve Carell, Russell Brand, Miranda Cosgrove, Kristen Wiig, Benjamin Bratt and Steve Coogan.
As for Williams, he has penned three new original songs: Happy (featuring Cee Lo Green), Scream and Just A Cloud Away. His two original songs from the first film are also reprised on the soundtrack – Despicable Me and Fun, Fun, Fun.
Despicable Me 2: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was released on June 18, 2013 by Back Lot Music.
