We finally have something new about the upcoming
Hope Springs movie to share with you, and I'm sure you're going to love it.
It's a first look at
Meryl Streep and
Tommy Lee Jones who play a long-married couple who travel to a small town to visit a famed relationship guru in order to save their marriage.
As you probably remember, we already had a lot of reports about this project, with one little difference – it was formerly known as
Great Hope Strings.
But I'm sure that you remember the story – we have Streep as Maeve, who desperately wants to “spice things up” and reconnect with her husband, played by Lee Jones.
That's why, when she hears of a famed relationship guru, played by
Steve Carell in the town of Great Hope Springs, she must persuade her skeptical husband to get on a plane for an intense week of marriage and sex therapy.
Getting there was hard enough…now shedding their bedroom hang ups, learning some new moves and rediscovering their youthful spark is when the real adventure begins.
David Frankel directs Hope Springs from a script written by TV scribe
Vanessa Taylor and the movie is set to open on August 8th, 2012.
