Scott Coffey directed the movie from a script written by Andy Cochran which revolves around a young girl named Amy, a recent college graduate who believes she's destined to be a great poet, but instead winds up working for an adult book store owner…
Amy is naive, awkward and anxious to get her poetry career off of the ground. She begrudgingly accepts a job at the local sex shop, Adult World, while pursuing a surefire kick-start for her success: a mentorship with reclusive writer Rat Billings. As Amy's world melds with that of Adult World, she slowly learns that inspiration can be found in the most improbable places.
Beside John Cusack who stars as Rat Billings and Emma Roberts who plays Amy, the rest of the Adult World cast also includes Evan Peters, Shannon Woodward and Cloris Leachman.
Adult World will make its premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival (which runs from April 17 to 28) and as usual – with every new update – we'll be back, so make sure you stay tuned!
