Ellen Page will follow up her star-making turn in 'Juno' by starring in 'Whip It!' which marks Drew Barrymore‘s directorial debut.
Natalie Portman's doing it, Kirsten Dunst and Scarlett Johansson, also, so why wouldn't Drew Barrymore want to direct her own film?
The film is called 'Whip It!' and in the film Ellen Page will star as a high school addict dependent on the nitrous oxide canisters commonly referred to as whipits.
'I really admire how Drew constantly challenges herself as an artist', Page said. 'She's proven herself as an actress and a producer, and I have no doubt she'll bring great vision and creativity to the director's chair. I can't wait to kick ass on wheels!'
The flick, pened by Shauna Cross, will begin shooting in the summer in Texas.
