The Farrelly Brothers have confirmed the title Dumb and Dumber To for their upcoming Dumb and Dumber sequel, which has been rumored for several weeks.
Peter and Bobby have confirmed, via their Twitter feed,
You also might be interested to know that we are almost done with the Dumb and Dumber To (sic) script. I think you're going to like it.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will be returning for the sequel to their 1994 comedy hit, which takes place 20 years after the original and will follow their characters tracking down one of their children.
Shooting is expected to start in Spring 2013, after Daniels has a break from the HBO's ‘The Newsroom'.
The original Dumb & Dumber was given a prequel in 2003 with Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, but without the creative involvement of the Farrellys, which most recent project was the slapstick comedy The Three Stooges.
