Pantelion Films has released the theatrical poster and trailer for Sundance favorite Filly Brown starring Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera who was killed in a plane crash last month. The film is based on the life of Majo … a Mexican-American hip-hop prodigy from Los Angeles, who is in a search to find her voice and to accomplish her personal and music career dreams. The upcoming hip-hop drama movie is directed by Youssef Delara and Michael D. Olmos. Along with Rivera the film also stars starring Gina Rodriguez, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Edward James Olmos. FILLY BROWN is an inspiring and gritty portrait of a young artist’s striving to find her voice and seize her dreams without compromise.
