First Impressions of the Cast of X-Men: First Class
X -Men: First Class, set during the 1960s, will focus on the relationship between Professor X and Magneto and the origin of their groups, the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants. The film stars James McAvoy as Professor X and Michael Fassbender as Magneto.
Actually, the image is not authorized and got out somehow. Another image is expected to be released soon, which will be first ‘official' look.
From left to right we have Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Dr. Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne), Emma Frost (January Jones), Azazel (Jason Flemyng), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Havok (Lucas Till), Angel Salvadore (Zoë Kravitz), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Xavier (James McAvoy).
Fassbender especially gives off a healthy McKellen look as Erik Lensherr, the man who will be Magneto, and McAvoy looks suitably serious with just a hint of the steely attitude beneath as Prof X.
Toward the uniforms, it's tough to tell, but with the movie set in the ‘60s, they're going for a blend of Bryan Singer's film with acceptance of the intense by classic Jack Kirby costumes.
X -Men: First Class is an upcoming American superhero film, directed by Matthew Vaughn, based on the characters appearing in Marvel Comics. The film is the fifth installment of the X-Men film series and a spin-off to the first three movies. The film is mostly being shot in England and parts of the United States. Additional location shooting should take place in Russia. X-Men: First Class is scheduled for release on June 3, 2011.
