New stills from the respective sets of Martin Scorsese‘s next feature The Wolf of Wall Street show Leonardo DiCaprio in character as Jordan Belfort, a Wall Street stockbroker who became embroiled in stock market manipulation during the 1990s.
Belford, lost in the drugs and other excess of a hard partying lifestyle, refused to cooperate in a large security fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street and mob infiltration.
Scorsese and DiCaprio’s fifth feature collaboration cast also includes Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Kyle Chandler, Jon Bernthal, Jon Favreau, Matthew McConaughey’s, Kenneth Choi and Margot Robbie.
Hill plays Belfort’s close friend and business partner; McConaughey’s character, Mark Hanna, is the early boss and mentor of Belfort; Dujardin portrays Jean-Jacques Handali, a suave Swiss banker; Robbie is playing the female lead, Nadine, the wife of Belfort, while Bernthal is playing a drug dealer and money launderer.
Terence Winter (The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire) adapted the autobiography of real life Jordan Belfort for the film.
The movie is set to be released in 2013.
