Fede Alvarez's hotly anticipated
Evil Dead remake at the New York
Comic Con.
The trailer that was shown delighted the audience with shock sequences, intensity, and wild sprawling violence.
The panelists (Alvarez,
Jane Levy and
Bruce Campbell) confirmed at NYCC on Saturday that the remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film would be lots of little nods to the original film, and the footage revealed many familiar items, like the cabin, the chainsaw, the possessed hand, the Book of the Dead, the destroyed bridge, and much more.
The Evil Dead remake starring Levy, Campbell,
Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore, and
Jessica Lucas, comes April 5th, 2013.
The image on screen of The Book of the Dead, shows a Levy crawling out of the infamous cellar door, undead, covered in cuts, yellowed eyes, and it looks horrifying.

Five twenty-something friends holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
