We finally have the first official poster for the upcoming
Snowpiercer movie, which will (let's take a wild guess) probably open this summer. As you're about to see – quite simple poster for
Bong Joon-ho‘s sci-fi thriller, but hey – just take a look at that awesome cast! And, there's also a little note that goes like this:
the passengers in the train are the only survivors on Earth… Well, that's one hell of the reason for me to say – man, I'm excited for this movie already!
Bong Joon-ho directs the movie (let us also add that this film marks his English-language debut) from a script he co-wrote with
Kelly Masterson, but as you probably know, the whole thing is actually based on the French graphic novel titled
Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette.
Snowpiercer is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
