FilmDistrict has unveiled the first theatrical trailer and poster for Olympus Has Fallen, the White House-set action-thriller starring Gerard Butler as a former Secret Service agent who stands between the nation and total disaster.
Antoine Fuqua's ‘Die Hard meets Air Force One' flick also stars Aaron Eckhart as the President, Morgan Freeman as the Speaker of the House, along with Radha Mitchell, Cole Hauser, Melissa Leo, Robert Forster, Rick Yune Ashley Judd, Dylan McDermott and Angela Bassett.
Olympus Has Fallen opens on March 22nd, 2013 and it'll be interesting to see how they market the competing project which has the same storyline, Roland Emmerich‘s White House Down, starring Channing Tatum and Jaimie Foxx after this one hits.

Here's the synopsis:
When the White House (Secret Service Code: “Olympus”) is captured by a terrorist mastermind and the President is kidnapped, disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped within the building. As our national security team scrambles to respond, they are forced to rely on Banning's inside knowledge to help retake the White House, save the President, and avert an even bigger disaster.
