Nothing spectacular in here – just a short 30-second preview of the upcoming romantic drama The Great Gatsby, and a little reminder that Baz Luhrmann‘s latest flick has an awesome cast on board! Head inside to find another TV spot for the whole thing, and don’t forget – the movie opens next month!
Baz Luhrmann directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Craig Pearce, and as we previously reported, the story is set in New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings.
It revolves around a millionaire Jay Gatsby, played by Leonardo DiCaprio and his neighbor, a would-be writer Nick Carraway played by Tobey Maguire, who recounts his encounter with Gatsby at the height of the Roaring Twenties.

Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.
Beside DiCaprio and Maguire, the rest of The Great Gatsby cast includes Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher, Jason Clarke, Amitabh Bachchan and the movie is set to open on May 10th, 2013.
