The first teaser trailer for the most anticipated action movie of next year, The Raid 2: Berandal has dropped, and it rocks.
The follow-up to the 2011 action thriller The Raid: Redemption, The Raid 2, is once again written and directed by Gareth Evans. As Evans has said the sequel – currently in post-production – is set two hours after the first one ended.
The film features Indonesian action star Iko Uwais which supercop, Rama, survivor of The Raid is now sitting in a prison cell. The sequel that will reportedly have over an hour of action was just picked up by Sony Pictures Classics and Stage 6 Films for release in the United States.
Co-starring Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki, The Raid 2: Berandal is due out next year, presumably for a March 2014 release.
