Fighting Jacob probably sounds like a bad title for yet another romantic comedy, but at least this project will have quite interesting cast on board.
Jamie Bell and Kate Mara are set to lead this rom-com that will be directed by Charlie McDowell who will make his feature directorial debut with this project.
Justin Lader wrote the script which will follow Bell as character named Jacob ‘The Manic Maniac' Rosenthal, an up-and-coming boxer whose extreme OCD is the key to his success in the ring.
After a devastating breakup with Mara's character, he's forced to evaluate his many neuroses and whether or not he can be truly happy and a great fighter at the same time.
Kenny Goodman and The Schiff Co. will produce with Oren Kamara and Fade to Black Films, as well as Gary Ousdahl and McDowell.
Production on Fighting Jacob will start this summer in Los Angeles.
