Cry/Fly is an upcoming drama which comes from Latin America’s writer/director Claudia Llosa. And that probably means nothing to you at this moment. But let us add two familiar names to this project, and it will immediately sound great! Jennifer Connelly and Cillian Murphy are reportedly already on board to star in the whole thing, while Melanie Laurent is still in some serious talks to join them.
Cry/Fly story is set in Minnesota and northern Canada over two time periods, and centers on a mother whose six-year-old daughter is terminally ill.
A dramatic event will soon separate the mother from her child and falcon-keeper son, but 20 years later, the son is persuaded by a journalist to embark on a search for his now-famous mother.
At this moment we know that Connelly is set to play that mother, while Laurent should come on board to play a French journalist. As for Cillian Murphy – still no details about his character.
The good thing is that we’ll soon have more updates on the whole thing, because Cry/Fly starts shooting in February.
Make sure you stay tuned!
