So, we’ve finally got the more deeds regarding the lead role for The Bourne Legacy sequel, I promised you until Monday. This may seem a little late, but in any case, the assumptions prove to be true – according to Deadline Jeremy Renner has reportedly been formally offered a role of an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than Treadstone brainwashing program that has produced Bourne.
Renner was one of the names that have gone through two cycles of testing over the past two months as the studio has come to the right guy. The decision, according to Deadline, was issued yesterday. Although he plays the operatives in the upcoming Mission: Impossible-Ghost Protocol and is currently shooting, Paramount’s Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and then will have to shoot The Avengers, the studio is exactly felt that he was in a position similar to that of Matt Damon was when he experienced a significant success with his career in a role of Bourne. Renner is really poised to become a high-grossing movie star after numerous other strong performances.
The studio has been testing numbers of thesps, such as Joel Edgerton (The Thing), Dominic Cooper (The Devil’s Double), Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) and Luke Evans (The Amateur American), alongside Taylor Kitsch and Anthony Mackie.
However, scheduling could be a problem for the very diligent actor, no doubt. The Bourne Legacy will lens in September, so The Avengers, which seems to have been knocked into the summer, may not differ.
Maybe Aussie Edgerton grabs some muscular supporting role or he could gain all the fame with the male lead role in Snow White And the Huntsman, though it is still not completely clear right now. We’ll have to see how Universal ultimately plays the Joel Edgerton card, or we can expect McAvoy or LaBeouf to land Bourne ?
