Through to You, remember this title, because we all have a feeling that this project will definitely be something great. And not just because it comes from the team responsible for this year's Sundance hit Like Crazy, although we must admit that sounds promising!
That actually means Drake Doremus will direct, Ben York Jones will write, and Jonathan Schwartz will produce the project based on Emily Hainsworth's sci-fi romance novel of the same name.
For the beginning, here's the official description from Hainsworth's novel:
“Eighteen-year-old Camden Pike is grieving for his dead girlfriend until he discovers she's still alive in a parallel reality–one where he's the one who died. The only problem is, she's hiding some very dangerous secrets that have life-or-death repercussions in both worlds.”
According to the LATimes “…the studio and “Up In the Air” producer Montecito Picture Co. have acquired rights to the novel “Through to You,” a youth-themed science fiction romance, which it is planning for Doremus to direct, Jones to write and Schwartz to produce (those deals are still being negotiated). A Paramount representative was not immediately available for comment.”
Just for a record, Through to You isn't scheduled for release until Fall 2012 and will be published by HarperCollins.
So, as you see, it's too early to talk about the whole thing, but we're definitely interested in more details, as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
