Is Memorial Day similar in crowds to Superman Day? I have no doubt about it, but after dropping a couple of new
domestic TV spots, Warner Bros. has now released an international TV spot for
Man of Steel.
The holidays can make us all feel like food addicts, but this time the studio will make us TV spot addicted.
Jokes aside, Warner Bros Philippines has actually debuted this new international TV spot, which shifts the focus from
Henry Cavill‘s Superman to his nemesis General Zod, portrayed by
Michael Shannon.
The screenplay was written by
David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer and
Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight trilogy), based upon the iconic Superman characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and published by DC Comics.
The key cast for
Man of Steel also includes
Amy Adams as Lois Lane,
Kevin Costner as Superman/Clarke's adoptive father Jonathan Kent,
Diane Lane as Superman/Clarke's adoptive mother Martha Kent,
Laurence Fishburne as Perry White,
Antje Traue as Faora,
Ayelet Zurer as Superman's Kryptonian mother Lara Lor-Van,
Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy,
Harry Lennix as General Swanwick,
Michael Kelly as Steve Lombard,
Richard Shiff as Dr. Emil Hamilton, and
Russell Crowe as Jor-El; Superman's Kryptonian father.
Zack Snyder's new take on Supes hitting theaters in just a few weeks at the height of blockbuster season on June 14th, 2013. That day can't get here soon enough.
Check it out.
In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question ‘Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha and Jonathan Kent, Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope — Superman.
