Car biopic? Yeah, even that's possible in Hollywood!
Silver Ghost is an upcoming drama based on the true story of the founding of the Rolls Royce car company, and according to the latest reports, quite serious team is on board for the whole thing!
Martin Scorsese and
Richard Attenborough are apparently set to produce the project, while there's still no word about the possible director.
The only thing we know about Silver Ghost is that it's a complex love story, not only between men and women, but men and machines.
Variety reports that it will be set at the turn of the last century, and that it will center on the story of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, as well as the love affairs of the famed Beaulieu family.
Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, one of the 90 elected hereditary peers that remain in the House of Lords, the upper house of the Parliament in the U.K.already revealed that:
“It is a remarkable story which has long been a family secret and I am delighted that Martin Scorsese has joined Richard Attenborough and Anthony Haas in bringing it to the screen.”
On the other hand, Scorsese looks quite enthusiastic about the whole thing as well:
“When I read the story of ‘Silver Ghost,' I was mesmerized, and I immediately thought, ‘
This is a picture that has to be made.' And when I was asked to come aboard as a producer alongside Richard Attenborough and AnthonyHaas, I didn't hesitate for a moment.”
