Matthew Lillard Joins Clint Eastwood’s TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE
The Descendants star Matthew Lillard is in talks to join the Clint Eastwood-starrer Trouble with the Curve. Warner Bros. is also circling TV actor Joe Massingill to join the film in an unknown role. Already on board is the always adorable Amy Adams.
Eastwood's long-time producing partner Robert Lorenz, who served as an assistant director on Mystic River and Million Dollar Baby, is the first time directing the picture, based on a script by Randy Brown.
Eastwood stars as an aging baseball scout who's slowly going blind. He decides to take his daughter (Adams) along on one last recruiting trip to Atlanta, where they will evaluate a promising young player. Lillard is negotiating to play rival baseball scout.
Massingill credits include small parts in shows such as Glee's episode of ‘Courage, New Hampshire' and an episode of ‘Zeke and Luther,' all in 2011.
Icon of 90s, Lillard's (Scooby Doo and Scream) upcoming credits include From The Head, Home Run Showdown and Deep Dark Canyon.
Project that marks Eastwood's first time in front of the cameras since 2008s Gran Torino, reportedly lenses in March.
