The first photo from the upcoming Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days is here!
As you probably know, we're talking about David Bowers‘ directed movie which is based on Jeff Kinney's fourth Wimpy Kid book – released on October 12, 2009.
The movie is set to hit the theaters this August, but you won't see something spectacular from the first image…
So, just three friends chilling in a pool. Robert Capron, Zachary Gordon and Peyton List are all in this project which will show us the worst summer ever beginning with Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson going to Rowley's country club after school closes for the summer.
With one little catch – since Greg gets kicked out because he complained of even the smallest predicaments.
The rest of the cast includes Rachael Harris,Steve Zahn, Devon Bostick, Melissa Roxburgh and Karan Brar.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days opens on August 3rd, 2012.
You know it;’s time to stop making these movies when teh main character has armpit hair! Lol

What an ass Haley!
When I go to a movie, I don’t judge it by the armhair on the characters, but on the story and acting performances. The main actor, Zachary Gordon was great in the first 2 movies and, as a college student, I am looking forward to the 3rd and I wish they would make some more. These are highly entertaining movies that are enjoyable without the $300,000,000.00 dollar price tag and special effects that so many of the movies made today are fabricated from.
I like the “realness” and wholesomeness of these Diary of a Wimpy Kid stories because we can all relate to them, underarm hair or not! Hope there are more of these movies coming out…a sure bet for great film entertainment!
You all missed the point.
The point here is that in the first movie he talks about how he is small and wimpy and there’s a lot of kids with armpit hair and mustaches ( remember that part??)
We’ll now Greg IS one of those kids

What is it with young girls being so terrified of body hair that every actor has to be completely shaved for TV/movies?
I agree with Dereck completely. The Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies are great fun and very entertaining to watch and that’s whate I go to the movies for. Zachary Gordon is brilliant as Greg Heffley and he hasn’t gotten the accolades that he deserves for creating a real live character from a stick figure in a book. A tougher job as an actor to do, than 90% of the other movies made where the characters are defined in great detail.
Zachary Gordon, you rock! Can’t wait to see the 3rd Diary Movie and the other projects Hollywood has in store for your future as a really fine actor.
If you haven’t seen the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies, go see them, rent them, or buy them…you won’t be disappointed!
Greg is between 7th and 8th grade in this new movie. A lot of 13 yr olds have pit hair…. why wouldn’t a wimpy one?
