Check out Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill in the second trailer for his upcoming movie, Moneyball!
Pitt takes on the role of the strapping, charismatic Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane in the upcoming film. He's joined by Hill, as Peter Brand, an amalgamation of real-life execs, and Chris Pratt, who plays Scott Hatteberg, the first baseman that was the poster boy for the movement.
The movie explores Beane's tactics to keep his losing team afloat without the huge bank account of some other ball clubs, which means thinking outside the box of buying valuable players to beef up his team. Jonah Hill and Chris Pratt leave their jokes behind to add to the supporting cast as Billy's assistant GM and the A's first baseman, respectively.
Rounding out the cast are Philip Seymour Hoffman, Stephen Bishop, Kathyrn Morris, and Robin Wright.
The movie, helmed by Bennett Miller and written by Oscar winners Aaron Sorkin and Steven Zaillian, is based on the book of the same name, which was released in 2002 amid Beane's A's unlikely division championship run.
Moneyball hits theaters on September 23, 2011.
