A new concept-art images from the upcoming alien invasion flick “The Darkest Hour” has been released.
The film is directed by Chis Gorak, who previously helmed toxic-bomb thriller Right At Your Door; among his other credits, he was art director on Minority Report and Fight Club and production designer on Blade: Trinity and the Taken TV miniseries. The script is written by M.T. Ahern and Leslie Bohem with revisions by Gorak, Jon Spaihts, and Josh Zetumer.

Four young people who find themselves stranded in Moscow, fighting to survive in the wake of a devastating alien attack, and combines mind blowing special effects from filmmaker Timur Bekmambetor (Wanted) with the grounded, post-apocalyptic vision of director Chris Gorak (Right At Your Door).The cast includes Emile Hirsch (Milk, Speed Racer), Olivia Thirlby (Juno, upcoming Dredd), Max Minghella (The Social Network), Rachael Taylor (Transformers, Grey's Anatomy) and Joel Kinnaman. “The Darkest Hour” will hit theaters in 3D and 2D on December 23, 2011.
