I'm sure you're already familiar with
Neill Blomkamp‘s upcoming
Elysium movie. You know, that sci-fi thing with
Matt Damon and
Jodie Foster in the leading roles. Well, ok then, if you're actually interested in the whole thing (and you are, admit it!) here are some new & pretty cool set photos from the futuristic thriller which, once again, give us much better look at Damon's character, Max!
So, let us all take a trip to 2159 where two classes of people exist. Yes, still the same
wealthy/poor shit, imagine that! Only this time, wealthy bitches live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest live on an overpopulated & ruined Earth.
On one side we have Foster as secretary Rhodes, a hard line government official, who will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium.
On other side there's Damon as a guy named Max, who is backed into a corner and agrees to take on a daunting mission that if successful will not only save his life, but could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
Beside Damon and Foster,
Elysium also stars
William Fichtner,
Diego Luna,
Sharlto Copley,
Alice Braga,
Faran Tahir and
Wagner Moura and the movie will open on August 9th, 2013.
