Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan in Captain America

Casting update! Neal McDonough is in talks to join the impressive cast of Marvel Studio's upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger project. If negotiations work out, McDonough would play Dum Dum Dugan, “an officer of S.H.I.E.L.D.and in the same time, one of the most experienced members of Nick Fury's team, known for his marksmanship with rifles and for his impressive physique”. Captain America: The First Avenger, an upcoming project directed by Joe Johnston, from a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, already stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Samuel L Jackson, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Dominic Cooper and Tommy Lee Jones. In the Marvel comic books on which the movie is based, Dum Dum Dugan was “a circus strongman who helped Nick Fury escape the Nazis, he later joined the British army. When Fury formed his elite team of “Howling Commandos,” he made Dugan his second in command. With his trademark derby, Dum Dum frequently struck fear into the Nazi and Japanese enemies in mission after mission.
