Warner Bros. has released the latest trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire, the sequel to 300, which you can see below.
If you liked Zack Snyder‘s career-making 2007 hit based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel, you’ll probably like this follow-up, which he co-wrote and produced, with Noam Murro now at the helm.
This third trailer features new footage of the film’s signature style and combines the best elements from the first two trailers with lyrics from Black Sabbath’s classic heavy-metal tune ‘War Pigs’.
We get glimpses at Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro) both pre and post-God makeover, Lena Headey is also back as Queen Gorgo of Sparta who’s going to war, Artemisia (Eva Green), a vengeful commander of the Persian navy, spouting threats at the Greeks, and Athenian general Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) lead a battle at sea to defeat the Persian navy after the death of the Spartan land army. Plus a lot of slow motion.
The blood-thirsty sword and sandals epic finally opens on March 7th, 2014.
Check it out and judge for yourself.
