Andrew Dominik, this crime comedy is actually an adaptation of 1974 novel titled Cogan's Trade and written by George V. Higgins.
The story is set in New Orleans, and follows professional enforcer, Jackie Cogan, played by Pitt, who investigates a heist that occurs during a high stakes, mob-protected, poker game.
Of course, it's not all about Pitt, and this movie definitely has an awesome cast on board which also includes
Scoot McNairy, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Vincent Curatola, Max Casella, Sam Shepard and
Bella Heathcote.
So, will the local criminal economy collapse or what?
