In addition to the new trailer for “Planet 51,” Sony Pictures has debuted the second full trailer for 3D animated “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” follow-up to “Surf's Up” from a few years ago, which is is co-directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller.
The screenplay co-written by both Lord and Miller is inspired by the children's book, written by author Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett, of the same name.
“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” is about Flint Lockwood, an inventor, who tries to solve the world hunger problem and invents the ability to turn water into food, causing it to rain food all day long.
“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” voiced by Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Bruce Campbell, Andy Samberg, Mr T and Tracy Morgan is set for US release on September 18, 2009.
