horror, so what the hell – let's hunt some witches today! We finally have new photos from the upcoming
Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters movie and as usual – you should definitely check them out. No, not just because
Jeremy Renner and
Gemma Arterton both look awesome, but because this time we finally have a chance to see
Famke Janssen as Muriel!
So, let's repeat the most important things about this project once again, shall we? As you already know, director
Tommy Wirkola stands behind the movie which stars Renner and Arterton as Hansel and Gretel – the siblings who are now all grown up specialized bounty hunters looking to put down the cackling
black-hat set.
The story takes place fifteen years after the traumatic incident involving a gingerbread house, and, although the siblings are still recovering from their ordeal, their work is relatively easy as for an unknown reason harmful spells and curses do not work well against them.
So, pretty soon the Mayor of Augsburg will recruit them to rid the town and nearby forests of an evil sorceress, played by Janssen, who is planning to sacrifice many local children at the witches' gathering during the upcoming
Blood Moon night in two days time! Evil, evil witch indeed!
Anyway, Wirkola directs the whole thing from a script he co-wrote with
Dante Harper, and beside the above mentioned names, the movie also stars
Peter Stormare,
Derek Mears,
Thomas Mann.
