Detachment – International Trailer
New International Trailer for DETACHMENT with Adrien Brody
Drama Detachment, a stylized portrait of the American education system seen through the eyes of emergency teacher Henry Barthes (Adrien Brody) has received an international trailer, the most compelling yet.
Eight months before, the education drama hit the Tribeca Film Festival to divide audience reaction probably due to some earnest scenes not playing very well mixed with some genuinely charged emotions and some attractive camerawork by Tony Kaye (American History X) .
However, a few months later, Tribeca Film announced that it has acquired all U.S. distribution rights for director Kaye's Black Water Transit follow-up with a VOD/theatrical rollout coming soon.
Detachment revolves around Henry Barthes (Brody), a promising teacher whose apathy and relationships with three women prevents him from forming emotional bonds with those around him. His new gig at an equally apathetic public school begins to put Henry in a role model position.
Brody is joined by veteran character actor Isiah Whitlock Jr., Christina Hendricks, Lucy Liu, James Caan, Marcia Gay Harden, Blythe Danner, Tim Blake Nelson, William Petersen and Bryan Cranston in supporting roles.
