Check Out: New Poster For KICK-ASS 2

Hope you’re ready for a little superhero update, ’cause a brand new poster for the upcoming Kick-Ass 2 has arrived. Yeah, just in time to remind you that the Jeff Wadlow-directed sequel opens next month. Nothing spectacular, but who cares, head inside to take another look at Dave, Hit-Girl, Colonel Stars and Red Mist…

Written and directed by Wadlow, Kick-Ass 2 stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and Jim Carrey, and the movie is set to hit theaters on August 16th, 2013.

In case you forgot, this time it’s not (all) about Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, they are already heroes and we all know that, right? But, inspired by the events of the 2010 film Kick-Ass, other people don masks and begin to fight crime.

One of these, Colonel Stars and Stripes, forms a team and asks Kick-Ass to join them, while Hit-Girl “retires”, and tries to have a normal life as a schoolgirl. Meanwhile, following the death of his father, Red Mist is reborn as The Mother Fucker and plans to exact revenge on Kick-Ass for his father’s death.
