Harald Zwart‘s adaptation of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones opens this summer, and as you already know – the movie has quite interesting cast on board. So, let’s take another look at Lily Collins who stars as the female lead, and her friends from a group of Shadowhunters – Jamie Campbell Bower, Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Kevin Zegers. Cool tattoos, that’s for sure!
Zwart directs the movie from Jessica Postigo Paquette‘s script (adapted from the popular series of novels by author Cassandra Clare) which follows a teenage gril named Clary Fray who learns that she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters.
And, as usual – that secret will change her life forever. Or, something like that…
Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother, Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.
Anyway, let us once again remind you that Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Zegers, Lena Headey, Kevin Durand, Aidan Turner, Jemima West, Godfrey Gao, Jared Harris and Jonathan Rhys Meyers all star in The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones which is set to open on August 23rd, 2013.
