Shooting of
Joel Schumacher‘s
Tresspass was scheduled to start within a couple of weeks in Louisiana, only then we heard that
Nicolas Cage is out of the whole thing, and that the movie is delayed.
Millennium has pushed its start date from August 16 to August 30, and was about to begin trying to recast.
But, today, we're here to report that Cage has rejoined the cast of upcoming thriller, just days after he opted out of the film…
The actor was originally cast to play
Nicole Kidman‘s husband in the film, which revolves around a couple kidnapped by thieves. Cage later switched roles to play the leader of the kidnappers before dropping out.
Now, according to
Deadline, Cage will return to Joel Schumacher's project in the husband role.
Cage's latest role is in
The Sorcerer's Apprentice, playing Balthazar Blake, a master sorcerer who must defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina), and who recruits student Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel) as his reluctant protege.
Actor previously said that he's always had an interest in anything which involves the imagination, and that he's interested in making less violent films as well.
Maybe that has something to do with all this Tresspass situation, but, on the other hand, we're happy to hear he's back.
