Nicolas Cage to Headline Vigilante Thriller I AM WRATH

Nicolas Cage
Nicolas Cage Deadline reports that Nicolas Cage, one of the busiest actors in the business, is set to star in the action thriller I Am Wrath for Emmett/Furla Films. William Friedkin, the director of The French Connection and The Exorcist, who most recently helmed Killer Joe is in discussions to direct Cage from the script penned by Paul Sloan, which is based on a story by Yvan Gauthier. The perfectly stereotypical thriller from the house of Cage centers on a man whose wife is murdered, and he finds that the police are unable to catch the perpetrators. So Stanley becomes a vigilante, trying to get the killers and expose the corrupt police department. I Am Wrath is set to begin production in February and Lionsgate will release the film in late 2013 or early 2014. Cage who is also starring alongside John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens in The Frozen Ground for Emmett/Furla, will soon be seen in the kidnapping thriller Stolen, and recently signed on to join The Expendables 3. But, that's not all folks, Cage has a bunch of films in the works, including National Treasure 3, Kick Ass 2, West Side and Marble City. What a man! TIFF-Logo

I don’t think Expendables 3 is confirmed. He was approached for the 2nd one but had scheduling conflicts, and I think has been in talks for number 3.
