Action-time for Nicolas Cage! Once again, he’s on board to play a revenge-seeking guy in an upcoming indie thriller which comes from Spanish director Paco Cabezas. Simply titled Tokarev, the movie is already being described as a perfect Cage vehicle, with strong characters who are put through the ringer. We’ll see about that…
Paco Cabezas will direct the movie from a script written by Jim Agnew and Sean Keller which centers on a former criminal searching for his daughter’s kidnappers and finding that slipping back into a violent life is often inevitable.
That’s basically all we know about the plot at this moment, but the good thing is that shooting should start this May in Spokane, Wash, so I guess we’ll soon have more updates to share!
Hannibal Classics is handling worldwide sales and is selling the film in Berlin and Hannibal’s Richard Rionda Del Castro will produce in association with North by Northwest Entertainment.
