The first trailer for Tom Cruise‘s forthcoming sci-fi action blockbuster Oblivion has been released.
Set in a distant future where mankind has been forced into space after the destruction of Earth, Oblivion tells the story of a soldier (Cruise) who is forced to return to our home planetto help destroy what remains of the alien race that drove the humans out. But when he meets a group of people who are still surviving on the surface he begins to question everything that he’s been told.
Oblivion, formerly known as Horizons, is directed by TRON’s Joseph Kosinski and co-stars Morgan Freeman, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Melissa Leo, Olga Kurylenko and Andrea Riseborough.

Living in and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft.
