I think we already had a little chat about Robert Luketic‘s upcoming Paranoia, but it's always a good thing when you have the official synopsis part to update the story, so here we go.
First of all, I will remind you that this thriller has an awesome cast on board, which includes Liam Hemsworth, Gary Oldman, Harrison Ford, Lucas Till and Amber Heard, and for more details – check out the rest of this report…
Paranoia screenplay, which is based on the Joseph Finder's novel of the same name, was written by Jason Dean Hall, and centers on an ambitious junior technologist named Adam Cassidy (Hemsworth) who's trying to climb the ranks of telecom giant Wyatt Corporation.
But after one costly mistake, Adam is blackmailed by ruthless CEO Nicholas Wyatt (Oldman) to turn corporate spy by going to work for the firm's top competitor, which is run by Wyatt's old mentor, Jock Goddard (Ford).
Adam soon finds himself delivered into prepackaged success, living his fantasy life of old-world boardrooms, private clubs, exotic cars, and all the spoils of Manhattan bachelorhood. However, behind the scenes, he is merely a pawn in Wyatt's power play, and must search for a way out from under his boss, who will stop at nothing, even murder, to gain a multi-billion dollar advantage.
Beside the above mentioned cast, Paranoia also stars Embeth Davidtz, Julian McMahon, Josh Holloway and Richard Dreyfuss. Principal photography begins tomorrow, and filming will take place on location in Philadelphia and New York City.
The film is set to debut in U.S. theatres on October 4th, 2013.
