Family comedy…that's exactly the thing with the upcoming
Jim Carrey‘s movie titled
Mr. Popper's Penguins that will begin shooting next month in New York.
The Fox movie will be directed by
Mark Waters.
We already
wrote about this project, so you probably know that
Carla Gugino has joined
Penguins last week, right?
Today we're here to add the British rising star
Ophelia Lovibond (best known from
Nowhere Boy) to the cast as well.
The movie will follow: “Mr. Popper, a high-powered, New York business man who suddenly inherits six penguins.
Taking care of the animals is no easy matter, and he quickly hits major hurtles, both at home and at work. But along the way, he learns the value of family and friendship – human and otherwise.”
Gugino stars as Tom Popper's (Carey) wife, and Ophelia Lovibond will play Popper's personal assistant.
No news yet who will play Admiral Drake, Captain Cook and Popper's children Janie and Bill, but as usual, we're here with every new update, so stay tuned!
