Paul Giamatti in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis – Confirmed

Paul GiamattiIt's confirmed – Paul Giamatti will star in the upcoming David Cronenberg‘s adaptation of Don DeLillo's book Cosmopolis. We already had a little chat about this thriller that follows a multimillionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan, so, by now you know that it has an interesting casting team on board. Paul Giamatti and Marion Cotillard were the two major actors set to appear with the Twilight star Robert Pattinson when he stepped into the starring role, formerly held by Colin Farrell. Then we learned that Cotillard is pregnant, so you already know she's no longer attached to the project. Then, it had been reported Keira Knightley was going to be playing Robert Pattinson's love interest in the film, but apparently she is still in negotiations and nothing has been confirmed yet. So, at this moment, the only thing we know is – Giamatti will stalk Pattinson's character. So, he's definitely on board! Cosmopolis tracks Eric Packer, a 28-year old billionaire who encounters odd characters and situations as he travels across midtown Manhattan in his luxurious stretch limo to get a haircut from his father's old barber. Cosmopolis is gearing up to shoot in May in Toronto and New York City.
