James Bond movie bosses want
Rachel Weisz to join lover
Daniel Craig in the next
007 film, The Sun disclosed. But not just any villain, the head of Quantum, which is the secret organization responsible for all the trouble in the last two installments. While there have been several actresses who have played villains in the Bond franchise, this will be the first time that one would play the mastermind.
Mi6 opposed the announcement, on the other hand. The Sun's inside source said:
Casting Rachel was going to be a surprise twist as everyone would assume she'd be a Bond girl when really she would play a villain. But the fly in the ointment is that they are now dating.”
The Home of James Bond – mi6 blamed The Sun of producing fake comments. They also denied
the film – due out next year – is tipped to be called Red Sky At Night. But Ian Fleming‘s three remaining titles The Property of a Lady, Risico and The Hildebrand Rarity are also being mooted. And planned stunts could include a death-defying winter sports chase. “
Back before the film was postponed for a while last year, it had also been suggested that Rachel Weisz might be on board to play the villain role. It has been classified by The Home of James Bond as un-sourced ‘fact' too.
However, it stands to reason that the 23rd James Bond movie is very much back in action. What with the announcement a week or so back that it was full steam ahead for a November 9th 2012 release. That means shooting will take place at the end of this year, that Daniel Craig is returning, and that
Sam Mendes will be directing nevertheless. The film will be a MGM release of an EON production.
Bond 23 is the latest installment in the longest-running franchise in motion picture history and will be produced by
Michael G. Wilson and
Barbara Broccoli and luxury brands Aston Martin, Sony and Omega are being wooed as sponsors.
Let's wait and see if Weisz should trouble 007!
