Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver in Rodrigo Cortes’ Red Lights
Buried director, Rodrigo Cortes is quite busy man these days.
His upcoming movie, titled Red Lights is “a psychological thriller about “how the brain does not give a true picture of reality.”
At this moment, a reality is that Academy Award winner Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver are on board, and that sounds just great!
The film, from an original screenplay written by Cortes, “centers on a psychologist and her assistant whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic.”
Weaver plays Margaret Matheson, a paranormal psychologist, and as you already guess – world-renowned pyschic is De Niro.
Producer Adrian Guerra announced: “Red Lights follows the steps of Buried in allowing us to make a highly commercial, bold and compelling film with great production values and Hollywood stars but keeping the creative control from Spain.”
The film is set to begin shooting in February with locations planned for the US, Canada and Cortes' native Spain.
