Robert De Niro Set For CANDY STORE!

Jeanne Standal May 4, 2013 Add a Comment
Robert De Niro Stephen Gaghan‘s upcoming Candy Store is getting bigger! We've just learned that legendary Robert De Niro is set to star in Good Universe's crime thriller which already stars Jason Clarke and Omar Sy. If you ask me – there's no better guy for the story which is set in dynamic criminal underworld, hope you agree? Gaghan will direct the movie from a script he co-wrote with Shannon Burke and at this moment we know that the story is set in the Brooklyn underworld where:
…a former covert ops agent discovers the organization he has been fighting over his career has set up shop in his backyard. He teams with a former cop to stop the threat that could endanger the city of New York.
As you already guess, De Niro comes on board to play that former cop, while Clarke is set to star as a former covert operative. Sy, on the other hand, is set to star as a king pimp. Allison Shearmur will produce along with Gaghan, and as usual – with every new update on Candy Store – we'll be back, so stay tuned!
